Fly-fishing for Alaskan rainbow trout is one of the most sought after experiences for avid anglers. The lodge location provides for easy access to some of the best trout streams in the world. Rainbows are caught June to September, with September being the ideal time and in this region typically are 18-26 inches, 4-6 pounds or larger. September is also the month when black leeches and sculpins emerge giving the fly fisherman a chance at the “holy grail” of rainbow trout, a 10 pound, 30 inch fish! If you are lucky enough to catch a giant, you will be forever in the clutches of chasing the wild rainbow.
