Funnel Creek and the Moraine River are home to some of Alaska’s biggest rainbow trout and best brown bear viewing in the state. The largest run of sockeye salmon migrate up this creek from Bristol Bay to spawn. This small pristine mountain stream has such a dense fish population that bears gather here in extremely large numbers to feed on the salmon and pack on the pounds before the long winter. One of our favorite places to visit, let us show you a unique look at what this ecosystem has to offer.
