Brooks Falls Bear Viewing
Each year millions of salmon make their way from Bristol Bay to the lakes and streams in Katmai National Park. Continuing their journey further into the park, the salmon must jump their way up a series of falls in the Brooks River. Home to the world’s largest brown bear population, every year during the peak salmon season the bears come to feast on this bounty.
Alaska’s River Wild Lodge will help you capture one of Alaska’s greatest spectacles. This popular day trip will take you to observe the bears from overhead and from the park’s safe viewing platforms. A dream for the photographer and naturalist, it is a memorable experience to see the giant bruins in their natural habitat.
