Alaska's Lake Clark Inn offers the only deluxe, one day, "sightseeing" or "fishing" cruise of the Lake Clark National Park and Preserve. Tour the park in the comfort of our custom twenty-eight foot charter boat.
En route your flight will take you through the famous Lake Clark Pass. During the flight viewing a series of active volcanos, glaciers, and a variety of wildlife is possible. Upon arrival at Port Alsworth you will be transferred to the waiting boat and after a
short break you will be on your way.
On the boat tour you will stay warm and dry as you cruise the Northern most end of Lake Clark with your seasoned "Skipper" and National Park Service "Interpreter" aboard. You will stop at points of scenic and historical interest along the way to photograph wildlife and the panoramic view. At the end of the short cruise you are returned to Alaska's Lake Clark Inn for a short break. You may also stop at the little "Tanalian Country Store" prior to your return flight to Anchorage.
For those who would like to try their hand at angling there are lake trout, northern pike, grayling and other fresh water species available. Fishing is done by trolling or from the shoreline. Excellent fishing for sockeye salmon is also available in season.
As an option during your cruise,
include a guided hike led by a life long resident of Lake Clark and owner of the "Portage Creek" gold claim. See a real homestead including a blacksmith's shop. Then learn how to pan for gold and try your luck at finding a little "color".
This trip includes round trip transportation from Merrill Field in Anchorage, transfers, boat cruise, guide, light lunch and non-alcoholic refreshments.
